About my Legislative Work
Thank you for reviewing my legislative and advocacy services information.
I have been a Registered Lobbyist in Washington for the past 11 years and represent 8 mental health groups on legislative matters related to access to ethical quality mental health treatment. I have worked with a variety of state agencies including the Department of Health, the Department of Licensing, the Health Care Quality Assurance Board, the Insurance Commissioner’s Office, the Governor’s Office, the state legislature, and other governmental groups. I have worked in coalitions with other mental health lobbyists and organizations. I have been successful in contributing to the passage of seven bills in Washington (see Legislative Accomplishments page.) In addition I have contributed to the passage and/or revision of social work licensure laws and rules in over 30 states (see Legislative Accomplishments page.) Finally, I have served as the Director of Government Relations for the Clinical Social Work Association nationally since July, 2006, consulting on national legislation affecting mental health practice and clinical social work.
I can offer a variety of legislative and lobbying services which are detailed on my General Legislative Information page. My legislative services include analysis of laws, rules; and proposed legislation; bill writing; legislative agenda development; lobbying consultation, and direct lobbying services
